Cancer can easily be considered the disease of our generation that has been apprehending lives left, right and center. From a man living in slums to some of the biggest celebrities in the country, everyone has a cancer story, it might be theirs or of someone, they know, but in the end, everything related to cancer is dreadful.
Now, there’s one more big name attached to cancer and our nation is feeling it hard to believe.
On Wednesday, actress Sonali Bendre revealed on her social media that she’s battling with high-grade cancer and she’s currently undergoing treatment in New York. Bendre posted a picture of herself, alongside her husband and wrote about how she got aware of her disease. She also expressed her gratitude towards her loved ones to be by her side.
In case you’re wondering what metastatic cancer is, it happens when cancer cells break away from the primary spot where they were formed and spread to other parts through blood or the lymph system. Though these cancer cells form tumours in other parts of the body, they’re of the same nature as primary cancer. It’s often considered to be the last stage of cancer, also. ‘
It indeed is a big news among Bollywood celebrities, since, just a month back, another big star revealed about their disease. Irrfan Khan is currently undergoing treatment in London for NeuroEndocrine Tumor.
Sonali Bendre was last seen with Omung Kumar and Vivek Kumar as a judge on TV show India’s Best Dramebaaz. However, she has now been replaced by actress Huma Qureshi from the judge’s spot.
We wish Sonali Bendre a speedy and healthy recovery.
