Geeta Phogat, the first Indian female wrestler to compete at the Olympic Games got married yesterday. She tied knot with fellow wrestler Pawan Kumar at a village on the highway to Bhawani called Balali. This Sunday the village looked busier more than ever as Aamir Khan was one of the guests and nobody wanted to miss out the chance to meet him.
Aamir Khan is playing the character of Geeta’s father Mahavir Singh Phogat in his upcoming movie “Dangal” and his presence in Geeta’s wedding looked like a well planned marketing strategy. While people were going gaga over him as they had never seen a celebrity in their village, Aamir’s warm gestures won hearts of every person. Aamir was there with his co-star Sakshi Tanwar and their presence made Geeta’s wedding quite a spirited affair as it increased the glamour quotient of the wedding.
