We all know how some actors, basically can transform themselves into the character they are playing, and these characters get stuck to us, for a major part of our lives. Even Priyanka Chopra has given some of these movies and we decided to count them down for all of you.
Aitraaz was one of the very early films of Priyanka Chopra’s career and to say the least, she made her character believable. So much so, that many thought her to be as cocky in real life as in this film. She started her career with a negative role, which was and is still considered to be a no-go zone for many actresses in the industry.
Fashion came some 4 years after Aitraaz and it definitely was another important milestone in PC’s career. She excelled the role of the small-town-turned-supermodel girl in Mumbai, which went on to get her a National Award for the Best Actresses.
What’s Your Raashee failed miserably at the box office and among the audience too, however, one fact just can’t be snatched from the film, and that was Priyanka’s efforts. Priyanka Chopra revamped the good old Mona for all of us. She gave a performance that was sexy, seducing and not tacky at all. One can basically find a strong woman under the garb of all sexiness and seduction which was like a breath of fresh air for the audience.
The not-so-recent, yet recent addition to this list is Dil Dhadakne Do where Priyanka played the role of Ayesha was a strong and independent woman, who still had to live confined under the constraints of her society and family. She was everything that the new-age woman should be, however, still nothing more than a working woman in their family, something like this relates to a lot of people and Priyanka did an amazing job in playing Ayesha, this brilliantly.
While Shahid Kapoor was the main lead in the film and did a brilliant work in it, Priyanka’s performance too gathered a lot of praise for her. The way, Priyanka handled the character of Sweety made everyone believe that it’s the performance that matters, not the screen time.
