Mahindra All Set To Unveil New Electric Cars On India’s Independence Day!

In what appears to be a massive boost towards India’s march in the domain of electric vehicles, Mahindra is all set to unfurl multiple EV’s in the imminent future.

Having said that, this imminent future does not pertain to some flimsy date in the next few months. In fact, where confirmed news reports stand at this point in time, it appears that Mahindra is all set to unveil no fewer than five Electric SUV’s on the Independence day.

Let that sink in; 5 electric cars that aren’t sedans, but SUV’s.

For a company so steeped in nation worship as also nation building, Mahindra being a die-hard patriot, it isn’t a surprise-but a matter of pride- that the company is deciding to unveil its new cars on Independence Day.

And that’s multiple cars, not one!

Having said that, it’s been a while that Mahindra, the proud makers of lasting off-roaders such as the Thar and Scorpio, had been teasing with the idea of their forthcoming EV designs. And here we are; finally, Mahindra are going to unveil multiple pure electric four wheelers that are expected the carry the quintessential traits of the dependable carmaker: sturdiness and the quotient of longevity.

Moreover, the EV space in India, a hotspot for cars of all shapes and sizes, has been seeing some exuberant pure electric rides hitting the roads. Among them- the likes of Hyundai Kona Electric, EV6 by Kia Motors and the XC40 Recharge by Volvo, to quote among the many, have already made their presence felt.

At this time, should Mahindra offer some dazzling EV offerings, then it does spice up a space already peppered by noted carmakers that need little or no introduction.

All of that said, the following are inputs taken from a leading report published on Autocar India that brought to life some interesting highlights pertaining to the developing story:

The new EVs will be showcased at the Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) studio in Oxfordshire, UK, headed by chief designer Pratap Bose. The ‘born electric’ tagline implies that all the SUVs have been designed as electric vehicles from the ground up.

A previous teaser, which also mentioned the August 15 reveal date, showed three SUVs as silhouettes as well. However, what was clear in them were the C-shaped LED signature lamps, both at the front and back. This though is not visible in the latest teaser.

Mahindra previously sold the e2o, e2o Plus and eVerito in the country.

Not much is known about these five electric SUVs at this point, but Mahindra is expected to release more details in the run-up to their unveiling on Independence Day 2022.

That told, you know by now what date to focus on and what to look forward to where it comes to all things Mahindra’s EV’s, right? Look no further than August 15, 2022, where things will get tantalizing than ever before.
